I believe Fr. James Poorman is still the pastor. I visited there a few times when I was attending Penn State.

XB! For those of us who don't know, can you please be a bit more specific when referring to some of these parishes, like the real name of the parish and it's affiliation. Y'all probably take that stuff for granted, but for us outside the Holy Land, we have no clue sometimes!!!

That is what the sign outside the church says. (At least when I was there last October.)

John,

It is under the Ukrainian Parma Eparchy, with Bishop Robert Moskal as Eparch.

Christos Voskrese! (Christ is Risen!)
Voistinnu Voskrese!) (Indeed He is Risen!)

Ramey is a small coal mining town in central pennsylvania. It is probably Byzantine Catholice. Probably Ruthenian. Could be Ukrainian. I'm not sure. But is is like hundreds of other churches--built by the nickels and pennies saved by the immigrant coal miners who wanted nothing more than a better life for their children--and their own church with their own traditions, not to mention their own language. And those immigrant ancestors deserve the upmost respect and honor we can give them. They gave their lives in some cases, so have a church and a priest to help them through this incredibly hard thing we call life.

God grant them many years!

Tim
